TyVon Curry

May 28, 2000 ~ February 20, 2022 (age 21)

TyVon Malik Curry, 21, was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on May 28, 2000 to Stacy Curry.  He was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 20, 2022. Celebration of Life services will be held March 4, 2022.

TyVon, attended Lawton High School and graduated in 2018. During high school, TyVon excelled in soccer, playing on several teams that traveled the country, football and ROTC, earning the rank of Command Sergeant Major.  After high school, TyVon went on to attend college at USAO in Chickasha, OK. After returning to Lawton, TyVon began working with children serving as the assistant soccer coach at LHS and working at the Boys and Girls Club in which he grew up. TyVon’s devotion to touch the lives of young people and encourage them to be more is unparalleled and he left light in the lives of all he came in contact with. TyVon aspired to join the military or become a Regional Director for the Boys and Girls Club. Spending time with his close friends and family always brought TyVon the greatest joy.

He is preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Fannie Curry, his grandparents, Tony and Vermell Curry and his nephew Adrian Curry.

He is survived by his parents, Stacy Smith-Taylor and Tashumbi Taylor, siblings, TreVeante (Niah) Curry, AneShae Smith, A'Torica Smith, Tyjhiem Taylor and Trinity Taylor, nephews Amari Curry and Zayne Smith and niece Ava-Riley Curry, aunts, Tonetta Curry, Keesa Wallace, Shinice Curry, and Karen Evanson, step-father, Royal Smith, grandfather Keith Taylor and cousins Vikeeta Walton, Shnazya Curry-Wallace, Shuntiera Curry, Shakyra Banks, Kamden Curry, Kemya Davis and Akerion Walton.
