Roscoe Wesley Scott III, age 72, of Lawton passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.
Roscoe was born on March 4, 1950 to Roscoe Wesley and Dorothy Mae Scott. At the age of 17, he entered the United States Army and served eight years with overseas tours in Germany and Korea. He worked with the cats at the HiFi Shop for over 20 years until his retirement. Roscoe never met a stranger. He was a generous, kindhearted man who enjoyed fishing, watching game shows, westerns, Nascar, and watching football especially his Philadelphia Eagles, laughing and having a good time with family and friends.
Preceded by his parents; his three brothers, Ernest Druhet, Ronald Scott and Donald Scott and his two sisters, Rosalyn Taylor and Carolyn Scott. Remaining to cherish his memory his beloved wife Virginia; his sons, James Johnson (Robin) and Avery Scott (Valree) both of Lawton; his daughters, Yolanda Scott and Nicole Scott both of Lawton; his brothers, Willie DeWitt Follins of Sierra Vista, AZ and Michael Scott of Houston, TX; his sisters, Barbara Sneed of Shreveport, La., Marilyn Lewis, Irma Washington and Doris Scott all of New Orleans, La.; his 14 grandchildren, Brittney, Christion, Bianca, Wesley, Bryce, Jamesha Micah, D'Angelo, Ashley, Kyra, Averyauna, Aaliyah, Aryk and Michael; great grandchildren, Amiyah, Kyrie and Kylan and three coming later this year; his first wife, Evon Allen and son Michael Williams of Lawton; Goddaughter, Temika Hill of Colorado Springs, CO and his neighbor and fishing buddy Sam Doss. He had a host of nieces and nephews who were his pride and joy and they loved him dearly, along with his cousins, other family and friends.
