United States Navy Veteran, Oliver H. Robinson, age 76, of Lawton passed away Monday, June 29, 2020 at his residence.
Oliver was born on July 31, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Violina Martin and Henry Meadows. At a young age, his mother married Levin Mollack and he grew up with a brother, Stanle, who is now deceased. Oliver enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served his country. While in the navy, he served on the supercarrier USS Forrestal as a Navy Firefighter And received numerous awards, medals and commendations. In 1968, he married Rebecca Grier and they raised five children; Darren, Dion (deceased), Ramon, Venetia and De’Jeh (deceased), Oliver was a great father. In his free time, he played in a band, enjoyed trains and designing, he worked as a designer, welder, draftsman, manager and H.S.T., but most of all, Oliver loved spending time with family and friends.
Oliver leaves behind three children, fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three nieces, nine great nieces, six great nephews, one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law along with numerous other relatives and close friends.
The family will have a Repass immediately following the funeral at 703 NW 46th St in Lawton.
