Marcus Madderra

August 29, 1949 ~ June 11, 2022 (age 72)


Marcus Allen "Mark" Madderra passed away at his home on June 11, 2022, at the age of 72.

Mark was born on August 29, 1949, in Lawton, OK to Bill and Winnie Mae Madderra. He was raised in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was a man of many trades, from roofing houses to building swimming pools and concrete work. He also worked as a Lawton Cab driver and was a Semi-Truck driver for many years up until retirement. He loved old classic cars
and car shows. Mark was an avid Lawton Speedway, and Lawton Rodeo fan. He had many lifelong friends that he saw and talked with on a regular basis. Mark's nickname was Big Howdy to his closest friends. He loved going to Leo's Truck Stop with his friends for lunch or supper. Mark also loved going to Wayne's Drive Inn, those were two of his favorite places to dine out. He loved all the old 50's classic music. Mark enjoyed cooking his own meals at home. and was a very good cook.

Preceded in death by his wife Brenda Madderra, he is survived and remembered by his four children and their spouses, Willard Madderra and Mary Madderra, Becky Perez-Negron and Charlie Perez-Negron, Kasey Clarke, of Lawton, OK, and Bill Clarke and Angie Clarke of Pensacola, Florida; three step-grandchildren, Shawna, Bobbie, and Brian of Florida; fourteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, Amy of Pensacola, FL, Katrina, Marcus, Brayden, A.D., Greg, Brandon, of Lawton, OK area, Mindy, of Tennessee, Lace, Cierra, Mia, Destiny, Sarina, and Carter, Tamberlynn, also of Lawton, OK. and two sisters, Franna Madderra Harrison and Patti L. Madderra of Oklahoma City, OK.
