Obituary

Judith “Judy” May Pilkington, age 54, was born Judith Schneider on August 31st of 1967 in Illinois, and adopted by Pat and Gerald at the age of nine, becoming Judy Markuson. She passed away on the evening of Saturday, September 4th of 2021 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital, in Lawton, OK, with her daughter, Stephanie, sitting at her side. She passed away due to complications caused by COVID-19.

Judy was a hard worker and firm supporter of the Police and Troops, having served in the US Air Force, herself. She was a strong Patriot and Christain, most recently attending Cameron Baptist in Lawton, OK. She loved to read, first collecting all the Judy Blume, Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden books she could, growing up. She read all sorts of fantasy and mystery books. James Patterson was one of her favorite authors, in recent years. She loved activities like Cross-Stitch, being outdoors, exploring the beauty of New Mexico, and visiting her family up North. She loved the ocean. From a young age, she loved collecting “Precious Moments” figurines, and practicing her faith. She loved music, especially christain music and oldies, like Frank Senatra, and artist like Michael Bublé, who was the artist of her and Harry’s song “You and I”. Her favorite flower was the Stargazer Lily and she loved gardening.

Judy became a Mother, at the young age of 21, to three sons and a daughter. Through her husband, Harry, she gained three step children. She has two granddaughters, and two great grandsons, who refer to her as Oma. She adored them so much. She was kind and beautiful. Her smile was contagious and family was everything to her. She was a big animal lover, and left behind three cats; Pumpkin, Bandit, and “Sigh-sigh”, along with her sweet Cocker Spaniel Lady “Ladybug”, and furry, Grand-puppies Genesis “Gennie” and Artemis “Artie”, all of whom she loved very much.
