On Saturday, August 14, 2021, the death angel came to Methodist Charlton Medical Center, Dallas, TX and released the bright spirit of Jeanie Renna McHenry.
Jeanie, the daughter of Rev. Patrick H. Jones Jr. and Rosalie Jones was born in Fort Smith, AR on February 14, 1957. She confessed Christ at an early age, and united with the Ninth Street Baptist Church in Fort Smith, AR under the pastorate of A.J. Parrish. Jeanie attended Howard Elementary School and Darby Middle School in Fort Smith, AR. The family moved to Lawton, OK in 1971. She attended MacArthur High School where she was a star athlete in track and field. In 1973 Jeanie was crowned homecoming queen. After graduating in 1974, she decided to further her education at Aladdin Beauty College becoming a Licensed Cosmetologist in 1984. Jeanie had a heart for people, and never met a stranger. However, she let it be known that her family came first. She will be missed by all, forever being known as momma, auntie, granny, sister and cousin. Her angelic singing voice could light up a room, and her vibrant personality was contagious. She could put a smile on anyone’s face because she was always happy and full of life. Jeanie will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
Jeanie is proceeded in death by her son; Clinton Morrell Newsome, her parents; Rev. Patrick H. Jones Jr. and Rosalie Jones. She leaves to cherish her memory: Michael Masters of the home; Three daughters: Chippretta Foster (John), Niosha Johnson (Jermaine) and Rosalie Johnson; One brother: Anthony J. Sanders; One sister: Terria Jones; One niece: Ebonie Byrd; Four step-sons: Ronald Johnson Jr. (Jessica), Bryant Johnson, Maurice Johnson and Reggie Kingsberry; One step-daughter: Greneda Johnson; Ten grandchildren: Devonte Roberson, Alexis Paras (Quinton), Patrick Royal, Bre’Aaun Johnson, Dre’Auna Dukes (Travis), Bre’lon Johnson, John L. Foster III, Syca Johnson, Jermaine Johnson Jr. and Jasmine Johnson; One great nephew: Sir Giavonni Byrd; Six great – grandchildren and a host of treasured relatives and friends.
