Janice Dedert, age 65, of Lawton passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at her residence.
Janice was born on September 22, 1954 in DeQueen, Arkansas to Carl and Audrey Baker. On March 11, 1978, she married Randall “Randy” Dedert and they would spend the next forty-two wonderful years together. She volunteered for the PTA, coached soccer at Kuntz Elementary and worked for Walmart for over fifteen years. Janice was the recipient of the Honorable Order of Molly Pitcher, which is bestowed by the U.S. Field Artillery Association (USFAA) and the Air Defense Artillery Association (ADAA) to recognize women who have voluntarily contributed in a significant way to the improvement of the U.S. Field Artillery or Air Defense Artillery Communities. In her free time, Janice enjoyed puzzles, reading and was an avid traveler but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Williams and her step-father, Allen Williams, Janice is survived by her husband, Randy Dedert of Lawton; one son, Jason Ray Sanders and wife Misty of Green Cove Springs, Florida; one daughter, Heather Marie Lynch and husband William of Bentonville, Arkansas; three brothers, Kenneth Williams of Ada Oklahoma, Michael Williams of Eagletown Oklahoma and Howard Williams of Eagletown Oklahoma and one sister, Sherry Nash of Chetopa Kansas along with numerous other relatives and close friends.
