Doris Gene Richardson, age 69, of Lawton passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Friday, August 7, 2020.
Doris was born on September 19, 1950 in Wichita, Kansas to Otha and Dorothy Spencer Hall. She was a Lawton resident for over fifty years, who was known for her grace and kindness to others and maintained a neat yard full of springtime bloom year-round. She worked as waitstaff at John & Cooks Barbecue for thirty years and was known for providing excellent customer service. Doris was a church member affiliated with the Church of the Living God and Bishop Collis Allen. She was a hard worker who took pride in her work and home and enjoyed going to bingo and collecting figurines, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Otha and Dorothy Spencer Hall and three siblings, Reva Jean Hall, Otha Allen “Boone” Hall and Sonny Roberson, Doris is survived by two sons, Billy Joe Johnson Jr. of Dallas and Antonio Richardson and wife Shanna of Mansfield, Texas; three daughters, Belinda Johnson Bailey of Kennesaw, Georgia, Tonia Cherry of Charlotte, North Carolina and Latisha Baker O’Brien and husband Malik of Oakland; four siblings, William “JP” Hall and wife Bernita of Wichita, Kansas, Beverly Roberson of Tulsa, Tommie Robinson and wife Sharae of Killeen, Texas and Wanda Faye Williams of Lawton, and one sister in law, Phyllis Roberson, widow of Sonny Robinson of Wichita, Kansas as well as a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
